Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-13
This policy explains how Aipogeo Translate (the "Service") and its companion WordPress plugin, Aipogeo Context Translate, handle data. Our principle is simple: we only collect data required to operate the Service, and we avoid storing anything we don't need.
- Without a subscription, the plugin never contacts us. In BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode, the plugin only communicates with the AI provider you configure yourself.
- We never store your API key in plain text — only its hash is saved. Even if the database is compromised, the key remains unusable.
1. Data We Collect
(1) Account and Subscription
- Registration email, nickname, and password hash (plaintext passwords are never stored)
- Order and subscription records: plan, billing cycle, expiration date, and payment status
- Hash, prefix, and last four characters of access keys (used to identify a key in the interface)
(2) Data sent by the plugin
This only happens when you select "Subscription Service" in the plugin and enter a key:
- Access key – used to verify your identity
- Site address (WordPress home_url) – used to bind the subscription to your site and prevent the key from being used elsewhere to consume quota
- Text to be translated – sent along with the source and target languages, and we call the AI model on your behalf to complete the translation
When sent: when connecting a subscription, activating or unbinding a site, refreshing subscription status, and once per batch during translation. Failed requests will have the deducted quota refunded and are not charged.
(3) Access logs
- IP address, time, request path, User-Agent — used for troubleshooting and abuse prevention
2. What we do not collect
- We do not collect visitor data from your site. The plugin never embeds any analytics or ad code on your pages.
- We do not store access keys in plain text.
- We do not read your WordPress database — we only see the texts queued for translation by the plugin, never your admin data, user profiles, or orders.
- The original text and its translation are not stored; see the next section.
3. How the translated content is processed
In subscription mode, the plugin sends the text to be translated to our service, which forwards it to the upstream AI model using our credentials, then sends the translation back as-is. This way, you don't need to provide your own AI account — the AI cost is covered by your subscription.
- The original and translated texts are kept in memory only for the duration of this request — they are not written to the database or any log files.
- We do not use your content to train any models, nor do we use it for any purpose other than subscription billing.
- We only retain the number of tokens consumed by this request, which is used to deduct from your quota.
None of the above happens in BYOK (Bring Your Own API Key) mode — the plugin only communicates with the AI provider you configure, and this service is not involved at all.
4. Who We Share Data With
- Payment Service Providers:When you place an order, payment information is processed by the payment gateway. We never touch or store your card details.
-
AI Providers:In subscription mode, to complete translations, we forward your text to upstream AI providers. We currently use DeepSeek。
We update this page when we switch providers. If you bring your own API key, your site connects directly to the provider you choose, and we are not involved. - Legal Requirements:We may disclose relevant data when required by law or when necessary to protect our legal rights.
Apart from the cases mentioned above, we never sell or rent your data.
5. Data Retention
- Accounts & Orders: For tax and reconciliation purposes, we retain data for as long as your account is active and for the legally mandated period after account closure.
- Subscription and usage records: retained for the duration of your subscription, used for quota calculation and dispute resolution.
- Translated source text and translations: not stored, released immediately after processing.
- Access logs: generally retained for no more than 90 days.
- Key hash: overwritten with a new value immediately after you reset or revoke your key.
6. Your Rights
- View & Correction: After logging in, you can view your subscription, usage, linked sites, and update your profile from the member center.
- Deletion: You may apply to delete your account in the Member Center, or send us a request by email. We will process it after verifying your identity, except for records that are legally required to be retained.
- Unbinding and Stopping Data Transmission: If you unbind your site in the plugin or switch back to your own API key, the plugin will no longer send us any data.
7. Cookies
This site uses necessary cookies to maintain login sessions and the shopping process. The plugin itself does not set any cookies.
8. Security
Passwords and access keys are stored in hashed form; plaintext keys are shown to you only once at the time of generation. We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Policy Changes
Changes will be reflected on this page and the 'Last Updated' date will be revised. For significant changes regarding data usage, we will notify you via site messages or email.
